Why ceremonial?

What is ceremonial cocoa?
Ceremonial-grade cocoa is undefatted cocoa mass that has been minimally processed. Raw cocoa, meaning it hasn't been subjected to high-temperature processing, is ground and formed into bars and tablets. This allows ceremonial-grade cocoa to retain its freshness and flavor longer.

How to prepare ceremonial cocoa?
Ceremonial drinking chocolate can be prepared in many ways. First, grate or crush a portion of cocoa. About 20g should be enough for 500ml of water or plant-based drink – adjust the amount to your preference and desired intensity. Next, heat the water or drink, add the cocoa, and simmer for about 30 minutes. You can also heat your chosen liquid and blend it with cocoa powder to create a smooth drink.
You can add your favorite spices if you like – honey, Ceylon cinnamon, anise, cardamom, nutmeg, chili, or vanilla. It's important to remember to add the spices at the very end, after cooking.
