Organic rye sourdough starter is the perfect way to prepare homemade, healthy, and flavorful bread. Simply add flour, water, and salt, and after a few hours of rising, you'll bake delicious bread with a crispy crust and a soft center.

Preparation method

Starting the starter: Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass jar and add 35 ml of warm water (40°C). Stir with a wooden spoon, cover with cheesecloth or a paper towel, and set aside until the ingredients combine into a smooth, uniform mass (approx. 60 minutes).

Feeding the starter: Pour 200g of flour into a 1-liter glass jar, add 200ml of warm water (40°C), and then add the awakened starter. Mix all ingredients, cover with cheesecloth or a paper towel, and set aside in a warm place for 12-20 hours (depending on the flour type and ambient temperature).

When it increases in volume and bubbles appear, the starter is ready to use. This portion is intended for making approximately 3 loaves of bread.

Recommended storage conditions

Store in a cool and dry place.
