Tahini, or sesame paste, originates from the Far East and has long been used in Asian cuisine. Tahini is an excellent source of fatty acids, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, and zinc.
Tahini is used in cooking as a base for sauces, dips, and dressings, an ingredient in hummus and baba ghanoush. Sesame paste can also be used with bread, cookies, smoothies, or vegetables.
Made from unpeeled and roasted sesame seeds.
