Vilgain Lifting Straps – Pair, Black – Strengthen Your Grip for Deadlifts, Rows, and Pull-ups

Lifting straps (also known as deadlift straps or simply straps) are one of the simplest ways to prevent a weak grip from limiting your training. Instead of ending a set of deadlifts, barbell rows, or pull-ups the moment your fingers let go of the bar, straps transfer some of the load to your wrist – allowing your back, thighs, and glutes to work to their limits, not your grip.

Vilgain deadlift straps are made from a strong, stretchy cotton blend that absorbs sweat well and doesn't dig into the skin, even under heavy loads. On the back of the hand, there's a neoprene lining – an additional cushioning layer that increases comfort during sets with heavy barbells or dumbbells.

When They Are Useful

Straps are most effective in overhand grip exercises, where forearm strength, rather than the target muscles, usually determines when a set ends:

  • conventional deadlifts and other variations,
  • barbell and dumbbell rows,
  • pull-ups,
  • gyms where chalk is not allowed.

This is a unisex solution, so one pair fits both men's and women's strength training, and it will also work well in CrossFit training or triathlon preparation, where a strong grip can be as important as leg strength.

Technical Data

  • Material: elastic cotton blend with neoprene lining
  • Strap length: 58 cm
  • Color: black
  • Purpose: for men and women
  • Package contents: 1 pair (2 straps)

How to Use

Wrap the strap once around your wrist, then thread the free end through the handle of the barbell or bar and wrap it several times until the material tightly grips the metal. When the muscles tense, the strap automatically tightens around the bar, so your fingers won't let go even under maximum load. After a set, simply unwrap the strap from the bar to remove it from your wrist.

Care and Storage

It is best to store the straps in a dry place, away from direct heat sources. If they get dirty, they can be hand-washed in cold water and left to dry flat – this will help maintain the material's elasticity and the neoprene lining's grip for longer.
