Description
Manuka Honey MGO 250+ 500 g - Manuka Health
Manuka honey is a unique and exceptional honey produced by bees from the nectar of the New Zealand Manuka bush ( Leptospermum scoparium ). This plant grows primarily in New Zealand and southeastern Australia. What makes it unique among other honeys is its high concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO). This is the main component responsible for its beneficial health properties.
Manuka honey has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It has a positive effect on the entire digestive system, cleansing it of bacteria and preventing the development of infections. It is used in the treatment of stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, and other digestive disorders. Additionally, New Zealand honey accelerates the healing of wounds and pressure sores and soothes skin inflammation.
The MGO 250+ marking indicates that the honey contains at least 250 mg/kg of methylglyoxal.
