Organic spelt groats are obtained from hulled spelt grain. They work well as an ingredient in soups, meat and vegetable dishes, but can also serve as a base for sweet meals - with dried fruits, nuts, and spices. Spelt groats have many uses in a vegetarian diet.

Preparation method
Soak the groats briefly, then cook in salted water in a 1:2 ratio (1 portion of groats to 2 portions of water) over low heat for about 20 minutes.
