Ceremonial Cacao from Ecuador
Ecuador is one of the most important countries on the world cacao map – it is here that the Nacional (Arriba) variety grows, considered one of the noblest fine flavor cacao varieties in the world. Camino Verde cacao stands out among other Ecuadorian cacaos due to exceptionally precise fermentation control – 140 hours in wooden boxes using the proprietary method of microbiologist Vicente Norero.
Such a long and carefully managed fermentation allows for the full aroma and complexity of the flavor profile to be extracted from the beans: intense nutty and almond notes, subtle florals, and tropical fruitiness create an elegant, well-balanced beverage.
Ceremonial cacao Camino Verde is a raw, unskimmed product without any additives, thus preserving its full natural nutritional value. It contains theobromine, which has a mild stimulating effect without the sharp energy spikes characteristic of caffeine, as well as a rich set of flavonoids and antioxidants supporting cell protection against free radicals.
Properties of cacao
Regular consumption of ceremonial cacao can support the cardiovascular system by favorably influencing blood pressure and blood vessel elasticity.
Magnesium present in cacao helps reduce nervous tension and improve sleep quality, while natural compounds such as phenylethylamine (PEA) can contribute to an improved mood and well-being.
Cacao is also a source of iron, zinc, chromium, potassium, and phosphorus, as well as B vitamins, vitamin E, K, and folic acid.
