Inulin is obtained from organic agave ( Blue Agave Tequilana Webber ). This natural carbohydrate acts as a prebiotic, supporting healthy intestinal microflora. It is obtained from the stems of the agave plant, a plant native to Mexico.
Inulin has a sweet taste and thickening properties, so it can be used as a sugar and fat substitute in baked goods, soups, and sauces. Agave inulin is low in calories and has a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels and the glycemic index. It is an organic product, free of additives and preservatives.
