Organic chia seeds, also known as Spanish sage, originate from Central America and are valued for their nutritional properties. Organic chia seeds can be added whole or ground to smoothies, muesli, oatmeal, baked goods, desserts, and salads. Soaked in water or juice, they can be used as a thickener for sauces and soups.
Daily consumption of seeds should not exceed 15 g (about 3 teaspoons).
